CJ Stroud Looking Like The Future
Rookie quarterback CJ Stroud is redefining the Houston Texans' offense with a historic start to his NFL career. The Ohio State alumnus shattered records in his debut, throwing for 412 yards and four touchdowns, boasting an 80.95% completion rate. Five games in, Stroud has already tallied an impressive 1,738 passing yards, averaging 350 per game, with a stellar quarterback rating of 117.8.
Stroud's arm has been a revelation, especially with deep throws, leading all rookies with 12 completions over 40 yards. Stroud has also proven his mettle on the ground, rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns.
With Stroud at the helm, the Texans boast a top-five offense in total yards, invigorating the team and fanbase alike. His careful yet confident play has kept his interception rate at a low 1.2%, while his overall completion percentage hovers around 70%.
CJ Stroud isn't just a promising talent; he's a burgeoning NFL star leading the Texans into a bright future.
Fantasy Football “Nice Game” Players of The Week
Dalton Schultz - 26.00 points
Schultz had a great game this afternoon, finishing with 10 catches for 130 yards. Also caught a touchdown that was crucial for the Texans win over the Buccaneers today.
Rachaad White - 27.90 points
White rushed 20 times for 73 yards and two touchdowns and brought in all four targets for 46 yards in the Buccaneers' 39-37 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also added 2 touchdowns.
CJ Stroud - 40.80 points
Stroud became just the second rookie QB in NFL history with 400+ passing yards and five touchdowns in game. He threw for a record breaking 470 yards and had the game winning touchdown throw with just 10 seconds left in the game.
Poo Poo Players of The Week
Travis Kelce - 4.40 points
Kelce finished the game with just 3 catches with 4 targets. Even with the Chiefs putting up points this week, it didn’t seem like Mahomes could ever find him. Leaving some fantasy managers disappointed with their round 1 pick this year.
Geno Smith - 2.68 points
Geno really looked like a bum today throwing for only 157 yards going 13/28 on completions. He threw no touchdowns but had an interception and a fumble. Finishing the game with just 3 points and losing the game by 34.
Michael Thomas - 0 points
This is the second week in a row with a key offensive player getting 0 points total. Again, not a typo. Thomas only got 1 target while averaging around 7 targets a game all season. I don’t know if this is a Michael Thomas problem or Derek Carr problem.
