Notable Fantasy Football Performances

  • DeAndre Hopkins - 38.80 points

Hopkins delivered a standout performance in the Tennessee Titans' 28-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He caught four passes on six targets for 128 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his exceptional receiving skills and playmaking ability. This performance was a significant contribution to the Titans' win and a reminder of Hopkins' status as one of the top receivers in the NFL.

  • Ceedee Lamb - 41.00 points

Lamb had an outstanding performance in the Dallas Cowboys' 43-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. He finished the game with 12 receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns, playing a pivotal role in the Cowboys' offensive success.

  • Gus Edwards - 28.40 points

Gus Edwards now has had 2 very good weeks in a row. He turned 19 carries into 80 yards and scored three touchdowns, also catching two passes for 14 yards. Edwards' proving that he could be a starter as an RB1 for fantasy managers.

Poo Poo Players of The Week

Patrick Mahomes - 6.64 points

Of course he somehow still threw for 241 yards, but overall just one of the worst games of his career. Reports said that he was possibly playing through a sickness and I don’t know if that really effected his game, but it was really bad. Threw 2 interceptions and had a fumble with no touchdowns thrown. And managed to lose to one of the worst teams in the league this season.

Miles Sanders - 0 points

No that isn’t a typo he really had 0 points. And I don’t know how many fantasy managers are starting Sanders at this point, but I know some out there are so. He played just 12 offensive snaps, accounting for only 18% of the team's presence on the field. Sanders received the fewest rushing attempts for Carolina in this game, with only two carries resulting in zero yards. This performance came after he missed a game due to a shoulder injury, and it seems he is still finding his rhythm in the Panthers' offense.

Alexander Mattison - 4.30 points

This is now back to back bad weeks for Mattison on a very offensive heavy team. He carried the ball 16 times but managed only 31 yards, averaging less than two yards per carry. Mattison also caught his only target for two yards. Despite his 17 touches leading the team, it was Cam Akers who scored a touchdown for the Vikings.

NBA Weekly Roundup: A Week of Highs, Lows, and Surprises

Welcome to our NBA weekly roundup, where we dive into the major happenings of the last seven days in the world of professional basketball. This week was a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with breakout performances, unexpected upsets, and a glimpse into the future of the league.

The In-Season Tournament: A New Era Begins

The NBA's innovative in-season tournament has officially kicked off, bringing a fresh dynamic to the regular season. This new format, featuring pool play on select days, has teams competing for the inaugural NBA Cup and significant cash prizes. It's not just about the championship race anymore; We will see how much people actually enjoy this and see if it is as successful as the NBA wants it to be.

Victor Wembanyama's Learning Curve

Wemby has played 3 games in the NBA so far and has had one very good game living up to the hype and then the other 2 were just “ehh.” I think when a guy is this hyped up coming in, people want to quickly make a decision on if he is a bust or a star player no matter if they were right or wrong, but we still really can’t tell yet. His height and ability to shoot the 3 have been the standout parts to his game. The thing that he has struggled with the most though is being tough and not getting pushed around by guys that are bigger than him. Most of the time he has trouble even getting in the paint because he immediately just gets pushed out of it. We will see how he plays going forward though.

Surprise Upset of The Week

Hawks 127, Bucks 110

the Hawks secured a decisive 127-110 victory for their first win of the season. Trae Young led the Hawks with 20 points, supported by a well-rounded team effort with eight players scoring in double figures. The Bucks, despite Giannis Antetokounmpo's 26 points and 11 rebounds, struggled, particularly with Damian Lillard being limited to just six points. Milwaukee's performance was hampered by 23 turnovers, which the Hawks capitalized on, and the absence of Khris Middleton due to workload management following offseason knee surgery.
