Week 17 NFL Recap/Big Trade In The NBA

Who won the RJ Barrett OG trade??

And We Back

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas and a great New Year spending time with your family and loved ones. Hope you also got a chance to watch both some NBA and NFL Holiday action. And if not, well you’re in luck because we are gonna cover it all today.

Week 17 NFL Recap

Browns 37, Jets 20

  • The Browns dominated the Jets, showcasing a strong offense and a defense that kept the Jets at bay. Joe Flacco is him. Crazy that just a few weeks ago he was sitting at home doing nothing and now is leading a team to the playoffs.

Cowboys 20, Lions 19

  • Very controversial game where at the end of the game the Lions went for 2 for the win and a lineman caught it. The refs then said that the lineman was not eligible to catch the ball even though he went over to the ref before the play and told him that. Lions deserved the win.

Saints 23, Buccaneers 13

  • Big win for the Saints because now they keep their playoff hopes alive and have a chance at winning the division. They were dominate over the Buccaneers the entire game.

Texans 26, Titans 3

  • Will Levis got injured early in the game forcing Ryan Tannehill to come in to replace him and he was just awful. The Texans defense and offense was big in their must win game to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Cardinals 35, Eagles 31

  • Big upset win for the Cardinals even though it doesn’t matter and they aren’t making the playoffs. Tough loss for the Eagles that pushed them to a wild card spot after the 49ers got their win.

Rams 26, Giants 25

  • Close game all the way through. Tyrod Taylor had a beautiful drive down the field and scored a touchdown with just few minutes left. They elected to go for 2 and Tyrod missed the wide open throw to Saquan Barkley causing them to lose the game.

Ravens 56, Dolphins 19

  • Ravens are the best team right now.

Bills 27, Patriots 21

  • Bills almost lost to the Patriots twice this year which would have been public humiliation. Big win for them though as their defense comes up big making some huge plays throughout the game.

Colts 23, Raiders 20

  • Big win for the Colts this week leading the entire game. The Raiders made it close but the Colts closed it out in the end. Clutch win for the Colts, they just need to win Saturday and they make the playoffs.

Bears 37, Falcons 17

  • Bears destroy the Falcons as Justin Fields has an amazing game. With the Panthers loss that meant the Bears now have the number 1 pick in the draft next year. In fans in Chicago found this out and started chanting “we want Fields.” I guess they don’t want Caleb Williams.

Jaguars 26, Panthers 0

  • Panthers yet again prove why they are the worst team in the NFL. Jags didn’t even have Trevor Lawrence and they put up these numbers.

Steelers 30, Seahawks 23

  • Steelers played really well in this one and put up 30 points which doesn’t happen to often. Steelers coach announces that Mason Rudolph will remain the starter even though Kenny Pickett is fine now.

Chiefs 25, Bengals 17

  • Chiefs have not looked like their normal selves this year and have struggled a lot. Coming off a tough loss to the Raiders last week they bounced back and got a win against the Bengals. Taylor Swift was there but Travis Kelce was terrible.

Broncos 16, Chargers 9

  • They didn’t play Russel Wilson because they are morons. This game was very boring to watch and I will not be reporting on it. Thank you.

Packers 33, Vikings 10

  • Packers prove that they are legit blowing out the Vikings winning by 23. This puts them in the Playoffs for now. Jordan Love is him.

Fantasy Players of The Week

Ceedee Lamb - 39.20 points

  • Lamb made 13 catches for a whopping 227 yards, including a 92-yard touchdown, which was the second-longest touchdown pass in Cowboys history. His performance was so impressive that it led to him breaking Michael Irvin's single-season Cowboys records for both receptions and receiving yards.

DJ Moore - 30.90 points

  • Moore caught 9 passes for 159 yards and caught a touchdown early on in the game. This helped the Bears blowout the Falcons 37-17.

Lamar Jackson - 36.34 points

  • Lamar torched the Dolphins putting on an MVP like performances. He ended up throwing for 5 touchdowns where the Ravens put up 56 points. He threw for 321 yards, completely 18 passes.

Pistons Lose The Most Games In A Row In NBA History

The Detroit Pistons can officially breathe a sigh of relief. After losing 28 consecutive games—the longest single-season losing streak in NBA history and tied for the longest overall losing streak the league had ever seen—the Pistons have won their third game of the season. On Saturday, Detroit bested the Toronto Raptors, 129-127, to officially snap the historic streak and get back in the win column.

Behind Cade Cunningham's 30 points and 12 assists and some clutch shooting from Kevin Knox, Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic the Pistons were able to finally put an end to this ignominious streak. In the process, Cunningham became the first Piston since Chauncey Billups to post a 30-point, 10-assist, zero-turnover game. With that, the Pistons will end 2023 with a record of 3-29, and while Detroit would have liked to see more wins in the win-loss column, it can help but be happy that 2024 will begin with a clean slate, and the team certainly feels it

RJ Barrett Traded For OG Anunoby

The New York Knicks acquired forward OG Anunoby in a trade that sends RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a 2024 second-round pick to the Toronto Raptors, the teams announced Saturday.

The Knicks, who are also getting forward Precious Achiuwa and guard Malachi Flynn in the deal, have been pursuing Anunoby for a significant period of time and are determined to re-sign him as a free agent this summer.

Anunoby, 26, has been one of the league's most coveted trade assets in the past two years, and now the Knicks get the opportunity to sell him on a future in New York before his free agency. The Knicks have been firm believers in Anunoby fitting well in a lineup with Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle.

The Raptors (12-19) bring back Barrett, who is from Canada; Quickley, a high-scoring bench guard; and a 2024 second-round pick via the Detroit Pistons. Barrett, the No. 3 pick in the 2019 draft, is averaging 18.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game this season. Quickley is averaging career highs in points (15.0), field goal percentage (45.4) and 3-point field goal percentage (39.5) this season.

In my opinion a pretty even trade and gave both franchises what I think they needed for now. We will have to wait and see how it works out for them the rest of the season.
