Lebron James Surpasses 40,000 Career Points

Kelce Retires

And We Back

Goys and Birls we are back. I know it’s been a little bit now, but we should be back with our weekly newsletter here at Dual Sport Report. Hopefully you have been able to follow the basketball and football world on your own and not just relying on Dual Sport Report to come through.

Now let’s get into this newsletter and update you on what’s been going on around the NBA and NFL.

Celtics Beat The Warriors by 52

The Warriors entered play on Sunday as winners of six of their last seven games, but their hopes of continuing that strong run of form were quickly dashed against the Celtics, who dismantled them by 52 points, 140–88.

It was a birthday to remember for Tatum, as the Celtics broke out on a huge 50–11 run during the first half, turning what was once a 21–21 game in the first quarter into an 82–34 blowout come halftime.

Stephen Curry had an uncharacteristically poor game, scoring just four points and shooting an abysmal 0-for-9 from three-point range. Moses Moody led Golden State’s starting lineup with 11 points and was the only starter to reach double digits in scoring. The Warriors shot just 17.1% from three-point range, while Boston buried 51% of their attempts from beyond the arc.

The blowout victory sees the Celtics improve their current winning streak to 11 games, as they handed the Warriors what was the fourth worst loss in franchise history, and their worst since 2021. As for Boston, it now stands alone as the only franchise in NBA history with three-plus 50-point wins in a single season.

Lebron Scores 40,000 Points

LeBron James reached 40,000 points Saturday night, still going strong in his 21st NBA season as he tries to put the career scoring record out of reach.

James drove past Michael Porter Jr. and hit a layup with 10:39 left in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers’ 124-114 loss to the Denver Nuggets for the historic basket.

“Being the first player to do something, it’s pretty cool in this league, just knowing the history, the greats that’s come through the league, and then you see some of the greats on the floor tonight, it was great to compete,” James said. “But for me, the main thing, as always, is to win, and I hated that it had to happen in a defeat.” - Lebron

I have to show my respect for Lebron. Even though he will never be the greatest player of all time this is a very impressive accomplishment.

Jason Kelce Officially Retires

Jason Kelce has made it official.

The Philadelphia Eagles center, who was drafted by the team in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, has announced his decision to retire from the NFL after 13 seasons in the league, seven Pro Bowl selections, six first-team All-Pro selections and one Super Bowl title.

In an emotional press conference at the Philadelphia Eagles Training Center at the NovaCare Complex, Kelce, 36, reminisced about his love of the game, which began when he was a boy in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and shared memories from his childhood, college and NFL career.

Kelce had a very impressive NFL career and is known as one of the greatest centers of all time. I would be surprised if he wasn’t in the hall of fame soon.
