Raiders Beat The Chargers 63-21…
Yeah to be honest I don’t know what happened in this one. The Raiders played well don’t get me wrong, but the Chargers are just awful. The offense wasn’t great at times, but they were at least able to put up 21 points. The defense was obviously the problem in this one. The Raiders led 42-0 at halftime, just 3 points shy of the NFL record for halftime that was set in 2009 when New England led the Titans 45-0.
I was at a fun golf place with my friends watching the game and it was one of the worst games to watch. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. And with someone that drafted Austin Ekeler in the 1st round it was just a heartbreaking game to witness. The game wasn’t even close and the Chargers finally the next day fired their head coach. Which that has been long overdue at this point.
Oh and Ekeler even celebrated and pointed for the first down after being down 56 points…
Stephen Curry’s 3-point streak ends at 268 games
Stephen Curry’s NBA-record 3-pointer streak ended at 268 games Sunday night in the Golden State Warriors’ 118-114 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Curry was 0-for-8 from 3-point range, 2-for-12 overall and scored seven points. He began the streak Dec. 1, 2018, at Detroit.
Curry, the NBA career leader who recently made his 3,500th 3-pointer, last went without one in a regular-season game on Nov. 8, 2018, when he was 0-for-4 against Milwaukee. He also owns the second-longest NBA streak at 157 games.
“We can’t rely on Steph to bail us out on every single night,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “It was a tough night for him, but that’s what a team is supposed to be about. Everybody filling in for each other, different guys stepping up each night. That’s a great sign, because he’s carried us for long enough this year. We need to give him more help.”
The two-time MVP missed all nine 3-point attempts in Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals against Boston, one game before the Warriors won the title. Curry had made one in his previous 132 postseason games, another NBA record.
Keegan Murray Erupts Hitting 12 3s And Breaking Records
In an expected performances during the Kings' 125-104 victory against the Utah Jazz, Keegan Murray set a new team record. During the third quarter, he went crazy sinking seven consecutive three-pointers, accumulating 26 points in the period. This feat not only established a new record for Sacramento for the most points and threes in a single quarter but also made Murray, at 23, the youngest in the NBA to hit 12 three-pointers in a game.
Murray's performance was particularly remarkable as he surpassed Mitch Richmond's record for points and outdid Harrison Barnes and Omri Casspi in three-pointers. Finishing the game with a career-high 47 points, along with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and no turnovers, he shot an impressive 69.6% from the field and 80% from three-point range over 36 minutes. This standout game came at a crucial time, with De’Aaron Fox out due to a shoulder injury.
Reflecting on his extraordinary quarter, Murray likened the experience to his college days, describing a state of being in the zone where every shot felt destined to score. Don’t worry, he was awarded the game ball for his exceptional performance.
